BREXIT BOOT BY MARK SCHWARTZ - Think about this, for me growing up in the footwear industry in the early 1980’s / 1990’s trends were important in shoes . Pointed toes , round toes , square toes , block heels and sexy stiletto heels along with platforms as well.
Trends guided and have always guided our industry but today it’s a matter of anything goes etc when it comes to shape and design .
Lot’s of crazy over the top editorial shoes in the magazines and on the runways to grab attention but how do they translate into mainstream design ? They don’t.
Plenty of shoes that look like dogs, cats, bananas and other cute things but how many people where them?
I love creativity but it's been a few years from a designers point of view since we have had a rising designer in shoes that has there own true style .
That said im looking forward to a creative 2019 in our industry !
