Calder’s Boot , an homage to the great Alexander Calder known for his hanging mobiles that were so prominent in the 1960’s. I wanted to use the mobile in a way that complimented the boots shape and I found myself wrapping the structure around the body and also used it as the base of the boots heel. All the colors in the painting reflect colors that Calder used in his works.
