Five Pumps , Whenever I think of my former boss and friend Roger Vivier , the Pilgrim buckle shoe immediately comes to mind. This to me is his most iconic shoe design ,all of which has been compared and based on.
In this painting I take five images of the buckle pump and display them in a cascade as if they are a waterfall of shoes. Color abounds in fuchsia, yellow ,green, blue, pink and tan. My many thanks to my mentor and friend Roger Vivier for believing in my work and my use of colors when it wasn’t in vogue!
